Reduce Energy Costs and Boost Clinical Efficiency Today

Thinlabs Australia is a pioneer in sustainable, low power computing systems. We specialise in Power over Ethernet (PoE) technology, combining intelligent design with energy-efficient performance to create reliable, future-ready solutions for clinical environments.

Thinlabs delivers medical-grade All-in-One (AIO) computers, hot swap power systems, mini PCs and mobile workstation solutions that enhance clinical efficiency, safety, and sustainability across the Australian healthcare system.

With PoE systems proven to reduce energy consumption by up to 50-60%, Thinlabs enables hospitals, aged care facilities, and digital health providers to improve reliability and reduce costs — while advancing progress toward ESG and net-zero goals.

Supporting Healthcare Providers Across Australia

Thinlabs works with a broad spectrum of healthcare partners, including:

  • Public hospitals and health services
  • Aged care providers and private aged care groups
  • Allied health and digital health solution providers

These collaborations ensure that Thinlabs’ solutions are integrated seamlessly into existing clinical and IT ecosystems — delivering performance and reliability that frontline healthcare workers can depend on.

Purpose-Built Technology for Clinical Environments

Thinlabs takes a fundamentally different approach from many competitors. Rather than rebranding consumer-grade devices, we design and manufacture purpose-built low power and DC powered computing systems engineered specifically for clinical use.

Our technology integrates:

  • Medical grade PoE computing systems for simplified cabling and reduced energy draw
  • EPICUS Battery Systems with a five-year warranty and hot-swappable design for continuous uptime
  • Lean Workstations on Wheels (TLC) — lightweight, reliable, and designed for long shift operation
  • Centralised charging and fleet management systems for improved asset control
  • Custom low power displays and monitors for clinical settings

These systems are optimised for reliability, infection control, and endurance, ensuring clinicians have access to safe, dependable technology that supports both patient care and sustainability objectives.

Supporting ESG and Net-Zero Goals

Thinlabs helps healthcare organisations achieve their ESG and net-zero commitments through intelligent low power technology that delivers measurable energy savings.

Thinlabs’ PoE computing systems have been proven to reduce energy consumption by up to 50-60% compared to conventional AC-powered devices, without compromising performance.

By eliminating the need for multiple power supplies and enabling centralised control, these systems simplify infrastructure while significantly lowering operational energy demand.

In combination with EPICUS Battery Systems, which extend product life and reduce electronic waste, Thinlabs solutions help healthcare providers lower their carbon footprint and total cost of ownership.

This sustainable approach allows hospitals, aged care facilities, and health networks to align technology investment with environmental objectives — achieving greater efficiency, resilience, and accountability in line with evolving ESG and net-zero frameworks.

Overcoming Healthcare Technology Challenges

Healthcare organisations face complex challenges that impact both patient outcomes and operational efficiency.Thinlabs addresses these pain points through intelligent design and low power innovation:

  • Limited power availability and short battery life on legacy systems
  • High maintenance costs caused by unreliable or short lifespan IT hardware
  • Excessive downtime disrupting clinical workflows and data access
  • High energy consumption and growing pressure to meet sustainability targets
  • Infection control risks from non-medical-grade devices
  • Capital funding restraints limiting the adoption of new technology

Thinlabs’ solutions directly reduce downtime, extend device lifespan, lower total cost of ownership, and enable health services to invest sustainably in technology that lasts.

Enabling Digital Transformation and Smart Healthcare

As the healthcare industry evolves toward smarter, more connected systems, Thinlabs empowers organisations to keep pace with digital transformation.

We enable clients to adapt to emerging trends including:

  • Digital transformation through secure edge computing and clinical mobility
  • Telehealth and remote monitoring with low power endpoints designed for continuous operation
  • Internet of Things (IoT) integration using PoE-powered clinical devices
  • Sustainability through reduced energy use and extended product life cycles
  • Smart hospital infrastructure powered by PoE and DC systems integrated with Cisco ecosystems

Our ongoing collaboration with health services, biomedical engineers, and ICT teams ensures every Thinlabs solution aligns with industry standards and the changing needs of modern healthcare environments.

Built for Safety, Efficiency, and Compliance

Thinlabs medical-grade systems are engineered to support patient safety, clinical performance, and regulatory compliance in every detail:

  • Patient Safety – UL60601-certified devices with no exposed power cords and silent DC operation minimise electrical and trip hazards in patient areas.
  • Staff Efficiency – Long-lasting batteries, lightweight Lean Workstations, and reliable power allow clinicians to focus on care, not charging cycles.
  • Compliance – All devices meet IEC and medical-grade certifications and integrate securely with hospital IT and EMR systems.
  • Data Security – Centralised IT management and Cisco-compatible infrastructure provide secure networking and controlled device access.
  • Infection Control – Fanless, sealed, and antimicrobial surfaces simplify cleaning and support hospital hygiene standards.

Each component is designed for continuous, compliant use in clinical environments, ensuring high reliability and minimal disruption to critical workflows.
